I am your new Reading Interventionist! Here is a little blurb about me...
I am Southern Illinois born and bred. I graduated from Benton High School in 2005 and Southern Illinois University-Carbondale in December 2008. I have been teaching for 12 years! I spent 10 of those years in 2nd Grade at a wonderful little school, Ewing Grade School, actually much longer, but that's a story for another day. The other year I was a Title 1 teacher, at Ina working with students in Kindergarten thru 8th grade. I live in Macedonia with my husband, Ryan, and 2 little boys, Brantlee -7 and Hadley -3. We have 1 dog, 23 ducks and 2 geese! If we aren't outside doing something we are probably on a Ranger ride. We love to hunt, fish, and be a family!
I earned my Masters in Education with an Emphasis in Reading from McKendree University in 2012. And am SO excited to utilize it here at Marion Junior High School! If you are looking for me at school 208, located upstairs on the 7th and 8th Grade side. I check my email at least once an hour during school hours and will check once or twice in the evening.
