I'm very excited about the 2023-2024 school year and being back in the classroom! I know that we are going to have a great year and look forward to working with each and every one of you!
Just a little information about me! I have just finished my 35th year of teaching and have been working at the Jr High for over 20 years. Most of those years have been spent teaching English in either 6th or 7th grade. I was a Marion High School graduate and both of my children graduated from Marion High School also. My sons graduated from SIU Carbondale. My oldest son, Justin, works in St. Louis at Lambert Airport as a Lead Operation Specialist and lives in St. Louis. My youngest son, Nick, works for a company called Bunzl on their development team. He and his wife, Chelsea, live here in Marion. Nick and Chelsea made me a first time "Mimi" in July of 2021 and gave me my first grand-baby! His name is Jensen Micheal. I have lots of pictures if you want to see them! This is my last year of teaching at MJHS and I am looking forward to being able to spend more time at home with my family and mostly with Jensen! I live on Lake of Egypt with a beautiful view of the lake. I enjoy sitting on my screened-in deck watching deer, ducks, and lots and lots of birds. I love boating and especially love driving around the Southern Illinois area in my Jeep.
